The Ohio Episcopal Celebration at Kenyon (OECAK) is an intergenerational conference hosted by the dioceses of Ohio and Southern Ohio. The conference will take place Thursday, June 25 through Sunday, June 28, 2009 on the campus of Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. Special programs for children and youth will be available. Young people signed up for the Youth Progam will help create a "reel life at OECAK" video for YouTube.
This year's keynote speaker is David Domke, a former journalist, who is now an associate professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Washington. His research focuses on the relationships among political leaders, news coverage and public opinion in the United States. He is the co-author of The God Strategy: How Religion Became a Political Weapon in America.
