The Rt. Rev. Martín De Jesús Barahona, Bishop of the Anglican Episcopal Church of El Salvador, will preach at Trinity Cathedral on Sunday, August 10 at both services: 8 AM and 10 AM. We will recognize Salvadoran and Colombian athletes in town for the Gay Games (Trinity's LGBT Ministry Team helped raise funds to bring the athletes to Cleveland) as well as any Trinity participants. A small reception will follow the 10 AM service.
On Monday, August 11 at 7 PM, Trinity Cathedral will host the Gay Games Interfaith Service, featureing the participation of local, national and international faith leaders. Music, prayers and messages grounded in the values of equality, justice and human dignity will be shared to inspire, uplift and rally the spirits of those gathered. The service will raise positive faith voices, create awareness and promote global solidarity and action in support of human rights, as well as, to join the struggle against homophobia, violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
