The 2015 United Thank Offering Grants session will focus on the Fourth Mark of Mission, to seek to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and to pursue peace and reconciliation.
UTO grant application forms and information about the application process, including the grant focus, guidance for writing a grant, and an application timeline for 2015, are now available at http://www.episcopalchurch.org/page/uto-grants.
Please review the grant criteria carefully. If there is a project in your congregation that meets the criteria, please apply. All grant applications (and required documents) must be submitted electronically to the Rev. Brad Purdom, Canon for Congregations, at email@example.com no later than 5:00 p.m. January 16, 2015, so the screening committee can review and select one application to be forwarded to the bishop for his endorsement. There is an additional grant opportunity for a Companion Diocese or a formalized relationship/partnership between two bishops with jurisdiction. Therefore, the bishop may endorse and forward up to two applications to the UTO National Board no later than January 30, 2015. Awarded grants will be announced in June 2015 at the ECW Triennial Convention in Salt Lake City.
If you have questions about the application process, please contact Barbara Jones, Diocese of Ohio UTO Coordinator. She may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or (330) 793-0540.
