The Upper Room at St. James, Wooster: a ministry of hospitality for the people of the Diocese of Ohio

The Upper Room is a comfortable retreat apartment available to the people of our parishes. There is a living room, queen size bed, fully equipped kitchen, and a small prayer room. There is also a large, open room available for yoga or artwork.

The apartment has keyless entry, off street parking, Wi-Fi and is in the heart of downtown Wooster.

St. Barnabas, Bay Village, Continues as Episcopal Parish

The building and grounds of St. Barnabas, Bay Village, one of the five breakaway churches from the Diocese of Ohio, have been returned to the Episcopal Diocese as of November 17. Sunday services are being held at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Alan James, canon to ordinary, is acting priest-in-charge for the first few months. All are welcome at St. Barnabas. Singles Group to Organize at St. Barnabas, Bay Village

St. Barnabas, Bay Village, is hosting an organizational meeting/dinner to form a new singles group, on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the church, 468 Bradley Road in Bay Village. Singles, gay and straight, ages 30 and up interested in networking and support are welcome. Single, for the purpose of this group, means not married or partnered. A light supper will be served. Lenten Brown Bag Series at St. Timothy's, Massillon

St. Timothy's, Massillon, presents the first concert in their Lenten Brown Bag Series on March 12. A free concert from 11:30 am to noon will be offered each Wednesday during Lent, featuring music by a variety of performers.

March 12 - Sandy Simpson, well known organist and retired educator, will be playing the organ.

March 19 - Fred Heyburn, noted Saxophone player and music educator, and St. Timothy's Cheryl Bower will be playing music for Saxophone and organ.

The Homeless, Metanoia Project, and Advent Episcopal Church

Advent Episcopal Church in Westlake is in its 4th year of actively supporting the Metanoia Project which gathers and welcomes homeless, especially the shelter resistant (living under bridges, in alleyways, and on park benches) and provides meals, relationships and overnight hospitality. http://metanoiaproject.org/

Meet the Sacred: Discover Thin Places

Come to the islands! Ms. Connie Chintall, a noted retreat guide, speaker and spiritual blogger from Virginia will guide our annual on South Bass Island (also known as Iona of Lake Erie) The day long retreat called "Meet the Sacred: Discover Thin Places". St. Timothy's, Perrysburg, Seeks Musician

St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Perrysburg seeks a musician with organ, piano and choral conducting skills to lead and collaborate in ongoing development of music ministry. Responsibilities include one Sunday liturgy, primary holy days, one choir, and planning functions in collaboration with parish staff. Knitting and Crocheting Ministry

Church of the Good Shepherd, Lyndhurst, invites all to join the knitting and crocheting ministry to benefit people in long-term care facilities in the greater Cleveland area. The group meets on Sundays after the church service beginning at approximately 1 PM. All skill levels welcome!
