Congregations and Christian Formation

The Office for Congregations and Christian Formation exists to help you and your congregation grow in faith, health, and vitality.

Our work is built on two principles:

1. Healthy spiritual lives of members are the only soil in which genuine congregational transformation and renewal can grow. That’s why we have combined congregational development and Christian formation into one office; and

2. We are most effective when we train and support lay and clergy leaders to do this work in their own congregations and settings.

2016 Adult Formation Conference

Engaging Adults - Adult Faith Formation in the Church Today
Spend a day exploring effective adult faith formation at either: St. Timothy's Church/Perrysburg, April 13, 9 am - 3:30 pm or St. Barnabas' Church/Bay Village, April 14, 9 am - 3:30 pm

This workshop is being offered at 25 sites around the country, but because we are sponsoring these two days, members of The Episcopal Diocese of Ohio can attend for $35 (half the general public's price).

2016 Great Small Church Conference

Save the Date - May 21, 2016!
This year's Great Smaller Church Conference will take place at St. Andrew's Church in Elyria.

Great Small Church conference, Holy Currencies is designed for congregations with an average Sunday attendance of 100 people or less. Larger congregations will also benefit, however, and are invited to participate, too! You will be introduced to a constructive and practical process to create a year-around stewardship movement that will enable your congregation to shift from maintenance to mission, from scarcity to abundance, and from fear to grace.
