Missions Office

Office of Missions

The Office of Missions encourages and oversees mission work of all kinds in the Diocese of Ohio:  collaborative, local and foreign.  Our role is primarily support and coordination.  The commissions, committees and programs we support are serving as “ambassadors of Christ”, bringing reconciliation, hope and education via financial grants; via relationships with agencies, programs and initiatives; and via the transformation that happens when we engage with Christ in the stranger’s guise.

The Rev. Margaret D'Anieri

Margaret has served as Rector of St. Paul, Norwalk since 2009, after serving in a shared ministry for both St. Paul and St. Thomas, Port Clinton from 2002 to 2009. She is employed half-time on the diocesan staff and continues her current position at Norwalk. She has previously served as Dean and on the Standing Committee, the Trustees, and the Commission on Ministry.

In her Diocesan position, she assists parishes in the area of mission strategies and leadership, and serves as staff liaison to a number of committees and commissions.

Jubilee Ministry

"Jubilee" Ministry is an organizing principle for understanding and interpreting Christian ministry. It is a ministry of The Episcopal Church, with affiliated Jubilee Ministry officers in all dioceses. Churches and other places engaged in Jubilee Ministry can be recognized, through a process leading to certification and engagement in a Jubilee Ministry Network. For more information, visit the Jubilee Ministry pages of The Episcopal Church's website http://www.episcopalchurch.org/jubilee.

“Project Pillowcases”

For this project the pillowcases do not have to be new—gently used pillowcases work very well and sheets or fabric may be used. Please note the cotton content of the fabric and the pillowcases and keep the cotton content 75% or greater. 100% cotton will be the most comfortable. Pillowcases and other fabric can be found at thrift stores, garage sales, flea markets, and many other places for reasonable prices. You may add trim or leave them plain. Use your creativity and have fun!
