We hope you will join us for Family Camp at Bellwether Farm on Labor Day weekend (August 30 – September 1)! This event is being done in conjunction with the Bishop’s Bike Ride. The ride has three levels: novice (22 mi), intermediate (40 mi), and experienced (70 mi).
Bellwether Farm's Family Camp weekend retreat will give families the opportunity to experience summer camp together. Throughout the weekend, parents will get a taste of what campers experienced all summer, including camp songs, swimming, fishing, archery, canoeing, animal care, and more. Families will be able to harvest produce to take home while learning about how we employ environmental stewardship in all aspects of our farm and camp. This is an opportunity for connection and respite with the ones you love most!
Check-in for the weekend will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 30. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. Saturday will begin with early morning prayers and breakfast. Then families can opt to join one of the bike rides or stay on site for traditional camp activities. Most cyclists will return late afternoon. At that time, we will host an all-camp swim time, along with opportunities to participate in basketball and gaga ball tournaments! After dinner we’ll have a hymn-sing and bonfire. Check-out will be at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning after breakfast and Eucharist.
Families will stay in our camp cabins, which sleep up to 10 people. Cabins are seasonal and do not have A/C. Sleeping is in bunks and guests must provide their own linens and towels. Showers and bathroom facilities are shared. If you’d like to share a cabin, please register your families together.
The cost is $130/adult and $50/child (16 and under) which includes all meals from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast. Registration is now open.
We’ll send a packing list and a few tips for camp once you register. If you need any financial assistance, please email Brandon Gooch
, Camp Director.
