Development

The development office helps individuals and parishes grow in response to God’s infinite generosity.

The office helps parishes by providing resources for annual stewardship campaigns, capital campaigns, grant seeking, and planned giving and bequest programs. The office also provides resources for individuals to deepen their understanding and practice of personal stewardship through giving sacrificially as a spiritual surrender of self to God.

The office facilitates gifts to support diocesan wide efforts including, the Bishop’s Annual Appeal, Episcopal Community Services, Bellwether Farm, Camp, Retreat and Education Center, and other priorities of the church.

We ask the Church to teach us to love and live justly, to be compassionate, and generous to others. We look to the Diocese to raise up clergy, educate seminarians, nurture our children and youth, and care for the sick and homeless – often with gifts given generously by you. A host of generous Christians before us willingly shared their gifts, making these resources possible.

Through resources, education, workshops, and training, we aspire to educate adults and youth, clergy, and all members of your Diocese concerning the spiritual discipline of giving.
