A Lay Preacher proclaims the Word of God in ways that inspire people to follow Christ, strengthen their relationships with God, and build up the life and mission of the church.
All Licensed Lay Preachers are invited to attend our Continuing Education at Grace Episcopal Church in Mansfield on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. This parish is handicap accessible. The day will be led by the Rev. Mike Floyd and Ms. Melanie Whalgren. We are looking forward to gathering to support one another, share best practices, and engage in scripture study and theological reflection.
Pre-registration is mandatory. Lunch is included - please note any dietary restrictions on your registration. Registration for this training is $25 and includes coffee, pastries, and lunch. Registration check-in is 8:30am.

Please come prepared to learn and write and share. As always, bring your study Bible and whatever materials you use for writing a sermon (paper and pen, laptop, tablet, etc.
