Join us for a transformative journey of self-discovery and spiritual exploration at our upcoming day retreat, "God's Mosaic: Exploring the Beauty of LGBTQ+ Identities”
Embark on a day-long experience filled with reflection, dialogue, and community-building as we celebrate the rich diversity of LGBTQ+ identities and their profound significance within the realm of spirituality. The retreat will take place on the scenic grounds of St. Bartholomew, Mayfield Village on September 14, 2024, from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.
This retreat is open to all members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies (18 and older, please). It is sponsored by Trinity Cathedral’s LGBTQ+ ministry, open to everyone in the Diocese of Ohio. Hosted by religious educator, Russ Tripi, the retreat will consist of interactive presentations, meaningful discussions, prayer and reflection, and opportunities to commune with nature. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
Russ Tripi (he/him/his) teaches “Theologies of Sex, Gender & Identity” at John Carroll University and holds the role of Director of Religious Education at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church. An educator with over two decades of experience, Russ has become known for his dynamic LGBTQ+ workshops and his imaginative educational programming that prioritizes fun, formation, and fellowship. Initiatives such as “Potato Chip Jesus” and “Christmas Tales & Ales”, alongside engaging Saturday morning workshop series, have drawn diverse audiences from across Northeast Ohio, spanning various faith traditions. He has published and contributed to countless curricula all over the United States and continues to produce a popular YouTube channel to make theology engaging and accessible to the 21st-century learner.
The cost of the retreat is $50/per person to cover expenses. Registration closes Saturday, August 24. Register now.
