Responding to the Presiding Bishop’s call for public worship on the Monday of Holy Week, the Rt. Rev. Anne B. Jolly, Bishop of the Diocese of Ohio, and the Rt. Rev. Kristin Uffelman White, Bishop of the Diocese of Southern Ohio, ask Episcopalians across Ohio to join in two collaborative prayer gatherings.
Join Bishop White and Bishop Jolly at the Ohio Statehouse Rotunda for the Holy Monday Service of Prayer & Public Witness at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, March 30. Through prayer, song, and presence in the public square, we will offer a visible reminder that the Gospel calls Christians to stand for human dignity, mercy, and peace. This is an opportunity for the church to proclaim that love guides the way.
Later that evening, at 7:30 p.m., Bishops Jolly and White will host a collaborative online service on Zoom, giving people across Ohio another opportunity to gather in prayer. With readings and music offered by participants from both dioceses, we will witness to our conviction that Christians must come together across our unholy divisions.
Everyone is invited to join one or both of these shared services.
