You are invited to commemorate Juneteenth at St. John’s, Ohio City. St. John’s once served the Underground Railroad as Station Hope. Since the abolition of slavery, it has continued its vocation of liberation and the celebration of the dignity of God’s image in all people. Now in a new time (and with a renewed floor structure), it stands ready to continue the work that God has given it to do. We begin this new chapter together in prayer. Join Bishop Jolly and members of the diocesan community and St. John’s neighborhood at 3:00 p.m. on June 19 for a prayer service. RSVPs are not necessary, but encouraged. Contact Canon Rosalind Hughes to RSVP.
