St. Paul’s, Canton was part of a walking tour of six historic downtown churches on April 30. The tour also included Crossroads Methodist, Christ Presbyterian, the Basilica of St. John the Baptist, St. Peter Catholic Church, and Shiloh Missionary Baptist. The event emphasized the ongoing ministries of the churches in the community, helping to meet needs for housing, food, education, arts, music, social justice, racial reconciliation, and faith services. The tour is part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of St. Paul's sanctuary and 154th anniversary of the church. The celebration continued with a recital and reception on May 21, featuring the Music Director Edward Grimes and violinists Jenny Cluggish and Melissa Lund Ziegler, and cellist Daniel Pereira. The celebration also includes a dinner on June 24 and a community concert celebrating the Ernest M. Skinner organ's dedication on June 25.
