All Saints, Parma opened a pumpkin patch and held a fall festival this year. Through the 37 days the pumpkin patch was open, more than 1,000 visitors came to purchase 1,566 pumpkins. They then transitioned to focus on their fall festival that included trunk-or-treat and face painting. Through this event, 420 participants came to collect more than 200 pounds of candy. The fall festival was held as a way to grow the trunk-or-treat event that began during the pandemic. In this new format, parishioners were able to do “front yard evangelism,” where they were able to meet community members on common ground. The goal is to continue to grow the fall festival into something a little bit bigger every year and allow parishioners to reach more people in the community, and offer an opportunity for all to have fun.
