For almost 25 years Grace, Mansfield has served over 300 households a week at the Grace Episcopal Pantry. In 2023, 42,199 people were served. This year the goal is to raise the balance of funds needed for a complete renovation of the undercroft, which is also home to one of the oldest AA meetings in the state. Grace Episcopal Pantry is the largest pantry in Ashland and Richland counties, and the eighth largest of the 230 food pantries in the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s six-county service area. Third Street Family Health Services recently partnered with the pantry to offer free health screenings every fourth Thursday of the month. These will screen for HIV, hepatitis C, blood pressure, and substance use disorder. Members of the community can also receive repaired bicycles from the pantry as supplies allow. Volunteers manage 571,578 pounds of food and bicycles.
