On November 5th and 6th Grace Episcopal Church, Willoughby held their annual “Little Feet” shopping event. This outreach ministry provided a new pair of shoes or boots to 42 beautiful children in the Willoughby-Eastlake school district whose families needed a bit of help this year. This was the 6th year offering this shopping opportunity to families. It’s such a pleasure to see these great kids choosing their own shoes or boots and modeling them for all to see. Their joy makes this event so special for all involved.

The church extends its deepest gratitude to JCPenney at Great Lakes Mall in Mentor, management and staff for their participation and cooperation again this year. They have been with us since the second year of our program.

Over the years funds for this ministry were provided by Grace Episcopal Church’s fundraising efforts, grants from the Diocese, and individual donations from generous parishioners and friends. Between the allowance from Grace church and the sale prices from JCPenney, families could acquire their children’s footwear at little or no cost. JCPenney also generously donated crafts for all the children to enjoy.

Special recognition goes to the Liaisons from the participating schools who helped with organization of this event.
