Throughout the fall St. Timothy’s, Macedonia is hosting an eight-week long suicide loss support group on Monday evenings. The group is for bereaved family and friends of those who have died by suicide and is facilitated by an Episcopal priest whose daughter died by suicide in 2010, and a nurse practitioner whose fiancé died by suicide in 2020. The goal is to provide a safe place for attendees to support one another as they cope with the painful feelings and questions that follow suicide. Group members can talk about their experiences and receive helpful information on how to cope with their loss. Meals are provided at the beginning of each session, and all food and materials are provided with support from Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation by way of donations made in the memory of Adam Miley, a 26-year-old who died by suicide in 2021. This is the second year that St. Timothy’s has hosted the support group.
