The Path of Totality

Bellwether Farm took advantage of its location in the recent solar eclipse to host more than 40 people from at least five states for a “Path of Totality” festival.

Participants spent two days relaxing and exploring Bellwether Farm before the main event. The weekend offered animal and farm time, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and campfires with s’mores, as well as unique programming such as an open mic session where folks showed off a variety of skills, and a concert by local band “Dirty Little Blues,” featuring Bellwether Farm's Facilities Manager, Ritchey DeWalt.

Attendees also participated in a special Eucharist emphasizing God as Creator, and Morning Prayer for the Feast of the Annunciation. On Monday, guests spread out over the fields of the property to experience the holiness of the solar eclipse together. The beauty of Bellwether Farm, the goodness of God, and the amazement of the eclipse brought people from many places, in home and life, together as one community.
