As you likely know, teenagers around the country will hold marches and rallies on Saturday, March 24 "to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today." Adults are invited to join them as a show of solidarity. A number of parishes are doing just that in Cleveland, Sandusky, and Canton. The organizing parishes invite yours to join them and encourage you to bring your teens with you. If you are coming to Cleveland, you should contact the Rev. Aaron Gerlach for more information and to coordinate parking at Trinity Commons at 8:30 a.m. The Cleveland group will be joining teenagers from Trinity Cathedral and marching 1.3 miles behind an Episcopal banner to the rally on Public Square. The teenagers from the Cathedral are selling sweatshirts for the event. Proceeds will help fund their annual youth mission trip in which all diocesan parishes are invited to take part. For information about the event in Canton, contact the Rev. Beth Frank. For the Sandusky event, contact the Rev. Jan Smith Wood. Clergy are encouraged to wear orange stoles. If interested in obtaining one, contact the Rev. Rosalind Hughes.
