From ST. TIMOTHY’S DISCOVERS MUSIC SERIES
Presented by Timothy’s Perrysburg Foundation, the Discovers Music Series will conclude its 2025-26 season with the Tenth Annual HarpFEST and harp camp. Directed by Nancy Lendrim, principal harpist for the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, the week-long camp is attended by harpists of various ages.
After four days of intense lessons and workshops, HarpFEST participants will present a grand finale concert Friday, June 12, at 7 p.m. in in St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 871 East Boundary St. Perrysburg. Solos, small ensembles and selections featuring the entire camp are on the program.
Music selections will include “All Through the Night, “a traditional Welsh folk song, “The Swan,” from “Carnival of the Animals” by Camille Saint Saens, arranged by Norris and “Themes from Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast.'”
Among the harpists in this year’s camp, are students from Perrysburg Schools. St. Ursula and Toledo School for the Arts.
Along with Nancy Lendrim, Rachael Donaldson will be teaching some of the younger students. Sponsors of the camp include St. Tim’s Discovers, Live Arts Toledo, and NW Ohio Chapter of the American Harp Society.
“Discovers Music Series is a multi-event music series, founded in 2013. We are committed to presenting quality musical experiences for Perrysburg and our neighboring communities,” Karen Smith, chair of Discovers. ‘To Clothe, Feed and Fulfill’ is our goal for our three foundation programs: Clothesline, Tim’s Rescue Kitchen and Discovers.”
The concert is presented free of charge; however, donations are accepted.
