2026 United Thank Offering Grant Recipient - St. Michael’s in the Hills

St. Michael’s in the Hills Episcopal Church in Toledo has received a 2026 United Thank Offering grant to support Neighbor to Neighbor Toledo: A Peace Initiative, a project focused on addressing division through kindness, connection, and loving one’s neighbor.

Neighbor to Neighbor, also known as N2N, will partner with Mom’s House of Toledo to create a new kindness program focused on children and youth. The project will address intergenerational and socioeconomic divides while empowering and investing in young leaders.

Mom’s House of Toledo, a childcare center focused on supporting parents and children through childcare and family-centered resources, has been supported by St. Michael’s for more than a year through prayer, donation drives, and hands-on volunteering. Through this new partnership, St. Michael’s and Mom’s House will create opportunities for community building across Toledo, bringing children, families, and neighbors together to practice kindness, deepen connection, and strengthen the bonds that help communities thrive.

The project will bring a local expression of the Daniel Tiger’s Be My Neighbor initiative into community spaces through programming such as Neighbor Day celebrations and youth-led neighborhood activities.

This project is funded by the United Thank Offering, a ministry of The Episcopal Church made possible through the generous donations of UTO participants. To learn more about UTO or to make a gift, visit unitedthankoffering.com/give.
