The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has significant experience in a high-level executive support role, impressive attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal and hospitality skills. They have demonstrated experience holding the highest level of confidentiality and serving as a strategic thinker, planner, and partner in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

The essential functions of the role include:

  • High-level strategy and coordination with the bishop, including management of the complex calendar.
  • Partnership integration between the bishop and the canon to the ordinary.
  • Travel management, including but not limited to congregational visits, general travel in the diocese, and diocesan or national church business.
  • Front office management of all incoming communication and requests (calls, emails, etc.), including prioritization of escalation and timing.

Qualifications

A candidate should have

  • A high school diploma or GED, with post-secondary education preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in a high-level administrative role
  • A proven ability to develop systems to manage high-volume, complex problems
  • Advanced communications skills, including written, spoken, and interpersonal
