The Missioner for Redevelopment & Priest-in-Charge supports faith communities across the Diocese of Ohio in implementing sustainable models of ministry, while also serving as Priest-in-Charge of Church of the Good Shepherd in Lyndhurst. This role fosters a culture of discernment, collaboration, and innovation to support congregational vitality.
Essential Functions:
Missioner for Redevelopment (50%): Operationalize discernment and redevelopment processes; supervise and support Faith Community Facilitators; track congregational progress and connect them with diocesan resources; cultivate cohorts engaged in adaptive change; collaborate with staff to advance congregational vitality.
Priest-in-Charge (50%): Provide sacramental, pastoral, and liturgical leadership; partner with the vestry to clarify mission and long-term sustainability; guide the parish through renewal and adaptive change; develop lay leadership; foster hospitality, discipleship, and local community partnerships.
Minimum Qualifications:
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to travel independently throughout the Diocese of Ohio. Must be able to move between various physical environments (including settings with limited accessibility), communicate clearly in person and by phone/Zoom, and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
