Sunday School Director
Reporting to the Rector, the Sunday School Director serves as the primary leader for the spiritual formation of children from preschool through fourth grade at St. Barnabas. This position is responsible for planning and leading Sunday School, supporting children and families in their faith journey, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, and helping create a welcoming and engaging environment for Christian formation.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a love for working with children, strong communication and leadership skills, reliability, creativity, and a commitment to Christian faith and formation. They should be comfortable teaching children, partnering with families, and working collaboratively with clergy, staff, and volunteers. Finally, they must be able to nurture faith within the traditions, worship, values, and teachings of The Episcopal Church.
